Jasmine Singh is a litigation associate for West Mermis PLLC. She represents a variety of clients, such as homeowners, general contractors, subcontractors, and insurance companies, in multiple complex litigation matters.
Prior to joining West Mermis, Jasmine interned in the Southern District of Texas as well as in the Fourteenth Court of Appeals of Texas. She was also involved in both intra-scholastic and inter-scholastic competitions throughout law school which earned her multiple awards including placing as a semifinalist in the Blakely Butler Moot Court Competition, and a Quarterfinalist in the Hippard Open Mock Trial Competition.
Jasmine is fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.
Representative Experience
- Represented homeowners in large residential subdivision against general contractor to recover damages related to construction defects.
- Represented a commercial building owner in a construction defect and delay case resulting in a favorable settlement for the owner.
- Represented a subcontractor in a nuisance matter.
- Represented a national road construction company in multiple personal injury matters.
- Assisted general and subcontractors in filing lien and/or bond claims, as well as filing suit to foreclose on the liens and make claims on the bonds.
- Assist general and subcontractors with drafting and reviewing contracts.
- Assisting companies with entity formation, including filing LLCs and preparing operating agreements and other formation documents.
- Represented road construction company on a labor and employment matter.
